The Hahndorf Leathersmith hanging kangaroo tail leather strop is handmade from quality kangaroo tail leather, designed to hone your knives, straight razors and cutting tools.
Kangaroo leather is extremely strong and will provide a firmer stropping surface that will not over convex the bevel; this is great for blades with precise angles of sharpness. The hanging strop is double-sided, with a smooth hide top side and coarser bottom side to hone the blade edge.
A hanging stop is designed to finish the deburred edge by cleaning the apex and improving retention, without the use of abrasives. The hanging strop can also be used for edge maintenance, such as removing oxidation that forms on the edge during storage, thereby restoring the initial sharpness.
All Hahndorf Leathersmith strops are made with natural veg tan kangaroo leather. As each kangaroo tail is unique, please note that the colour and sizing may vary.
